Guy in Williams' plans
GERAINT Williams today insisted that striker Jamie Guy IS a part of his future plans.
However, he has admitted there is a chance the bustling young forward may not be at Colchester United next season.
Guy, who suffered from a catalogue of injuries last season, has been linked with a move away from the U's in recent weeks.
The U's Coca-Cola League One rivals Crewe Alexandra are the latest club to be linked with his services.
However, Colchester have received no formal offers for the 20-year-old.
And boss Williams wants the young hot-shot to stay and fight for his place at the Community Stadium. He told the Gazette: "I would like Jamie to stay and he's in my plans for next season.
"There are a lot of things a young man has to weigh up when considering his future.
"He has said to me that he feels he may need to move on but I disagree with that.
"If a club was to come in with an offer that was acceptable - and Jamie wanted to go - then we would have to consider it.
"That has always been our policy."
