LONDON- The agent of Real Madrid forward Robinho claims Chelsea are prepared to offer around £28million to take the Brazil star to Stamford Bridge.

Wagner Ribeiro told Brazilian TV station Globo he held a meeting with Chelsea managing director Peter Kenyon, during which a fee for the player was discussed.

"I met Peter Kenyon, Chelsea managing director, in London on Thursday," said Ribeiro.

"He told me that they (Chelsea) were considering making an offer of 35 million euros for Robinho."

It had previously been rumoured in the Spanish press that Robinho would be used by the Spanish champions in a cash-plus-player deal to try and bring Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Robinho, who has just enjoyed his best season in a Madrid shirt since joining in 2005, last week claimed he had no interest in leaving Spain at the moment.

Robinho himself confirmed there is firm interest from Chelsea.

"What could happen is that I could go to Chelsea, as I have an offer from them," the 24-year-old former Santos player told Globo TV.

Robinho also claimed Italian side AC Milan were monitoring his situation, adding: "Milan are also interested in me. The Milan directors have asked to hold a meeting with Wagner."

Robinho though does not believe Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is on his way to the Bernabeu.

"There is nothing from Manchester, that's all just speculation," he said.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is not going to leave there. He's just won the the Champions League and he could be crowned the best in the world."
